About Me

about-me-image
I'm Daisy, a street food fanatic that rarely says no to a cheap flight :') I was adopted by a modeling agency in India (not a model), lived with bikers in Turkey (not a biker) and stayed in a community with self-built teepees along the Spree in Germany (not a real hippie). But it was Oman that I fell in love with. The mountains, wadis, desert, and sea drew me in. I'm sure you will enjoy the country as much as I do.

Al Batinah North Governorate

Al Batinah North Governorate ( محافظة شمال الباطنة‎ ) sits northwest of Muscat, Oman. The biggest and most visited city in Ad Dhahirah Governorate is Sohar, which was an important Islamic port town that also doubled as the birthplace of Sinbad the Sailor (Legend of the Seven Seas from Arabian Nights was my go-to bedtime story!)

In Al Batinah North, you can find beautiful ocean views, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and numerous parks. Since Al Batinah North is right beside Muscat, a lot of the sites can be seen on a day trip.

Below are a few articles on things to do in Al Batinah North Governorate, including the best views, activities, and more!
