About Me

I'm Daisy, a street food fanatic that rarely says no to a cheap flight :') I was adopted by a modeling agency in India (not a model), lived with bikers in Turkey (not a biker) and stayed in a community with self-built teepees along the Spree in Germany (not a real hippie). But it was Oman that I fell in love with. The mountains, wadis, desert, and sea drew me in. I'm sure you will enjoy the country as much as I do.

Musandam Oman

Musandam Oman ( مُحَافَظَة مُسَنْدَم ) is located on the Musandam Peninsula. Unlike the rest of the country, Musandam sits north of the UAE. When the United Arab Emirates was formed in 1971, Oman kept its Madha and Musandam territories due to their strategic positions.

From Muscat, Musandam Governorate is best accessed by ferry. Otherwise, there will be four checkpoints if you decide to drive through the UAE!

Below are detailed guidelines and articles on how to get to Musandam, places to stay, and things to do. For those just starting to build their trip, check out this Oman trip planning guide for all you need to know!
